Crrated to be a completely stand alone story, with the core that's existed from every story being it's connecting point. All things have been rewritten, then scratched, then written from scratch to make a completely new and different approach to the game, that didn't disreguard the foundation CyberConnect2 and the .hack Project had worked hard to create. From the new creation of classes, Races, the blurring of the lines of the fantasy of The WORLD and the Real World, the .hack//C0D3C Role Play hopes to give all new and old fans of the contraversal series a new way to see The WORLD.

Hack//C0D3C - The BasisEdit

The virtual story of the popular online game, The World, has undergone two complete transformations. For decades, the users of the infamous MMORPG has soared tp untold numbers, and despite controversy and dark shadows that ever seem to look over the people responsible for the chaos, CC Corp. seems to be un-phased by anything. The World has launched it’s new Altimit core system, again, bringing about a new feel all across The World, with the underlying hints of familiarity.

The year is 2035. The World R:3 has finally been announced and game and computer stores have their shelves stocked full of both basic and bonus selections of the online phenomenon. Not only has The World been upgraded to such heights, the technology of an ever evolving world has also scaled. The beloved M3D unit has become obsolete with the coming of CC Corp.’s latest inner body device, the MI, or Module Implant.

With the MI, players of The World are able to have a set of small chips surgically placed into the brain with a type of ‘jack’ set at the base of the neck, that allows for a specially designed monocle to be attached which enables the user to log into The World without the use of a computer terminal. Along with the use of the MI, the player is also able to physically feel things in The World, as the MI is created to send signals through the brain to have the player’s body respond to touch, sensation, and other such things, and have the brain take on the sensations, as the player would in the real world.

In The World, players will come to see the ever familiar beginner Root Town, joined by two others as well:

•Mac Anu• The Eternal Twilight City

•Vore Dahn• Capital of the Star of Destiny

•Arcadia Nod• The Stairway to Heaven

The Game has seemed to take on an odd mix of futuristic and tribal based concepts. The lands are more natural, woods and jungles, swamps and burning deserts, frozen mountains and safari plains, and the ocean is able to be traveled by those taking up the merchant class. Though, because of the enabling of the MI interface, PVP has been disabled, although there is a specialized Battleground that disables the MI’s function to enable the user to feel sensation. The battleground is known as Sanguine Stain, located in Vore Dahn.

With the coming of R:3, it is not so unlikely to see people about, both playing The World and simultaneously doing regular chores, even working. The World itself, is unchanged since R:2. Players are still able to chose and custom create their characters to an extent, with the Human and Beast Race joined by the Danu Sidhe clan, though such players are only allowed if picked through a special lottery. With the coming of the latest installment of The World, CC. Corp feels that all the problems of the past are finally put behind them.
